A line of strong to severe storms will race across central and eastern Kentucky over the next several hours.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Campaign-finance reports show Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell had more money on hand than his Democratic
challenger heading into the campaign's stretch run.
But businessman Bruce Lunsford continues to pour his own money
into the race.
McConnell's finance report shows he had nearly $5.7 million on hand at the end of September.
The report filed with the Federal Election Commission shows the four-term incumbent raised $2.6 million in the three months ending Sept. 30.
Lunsford's campaign says the challenger put $2.4 million of his own money into the race during the quarter, and collected nearly $800,000 in contributions from others.
The campaign says Lunsford had more than $1.2 million cash on hand at the end of September.
