They were charged with murder, but a jury thought that charge was a little too harsh.

On Wednesday afternoon a Breathitt County jury convicted Robert and Karen Miller with second degree manslaughter.

Their 11-month-old son died after he swallowed a methadone pill.

The couple admitted to using the drug but say they had no idea their son had gotten his hands on a pill.

The jury recommended a ten year sentence for Robert Miller and eight years for Karen Miller.

What was wrong with this jury, no justice has been given to this little boy. His parents were loser drug heads which is a direct result of how this child died. A needle in the arm is what they deserve. Idiot jury

why didn't they charge them with murder? what is the differnce in shaking, shooting, smothering or giving a baby methadone? they killed him. it was their stupid fault this happened because they had it around him, therefore it is murder.

Now wonder people think Kentuckians are backward, inbreed people. Lets see kill a police man and claim you are too drugged up to notice or care. Kill your baby because you are druggie and then use the fact that you are a druggie to get out of murder. Maybe the problem is trying to find 12 people who are not druggies in eastern Kentucky. I guess when you have to think, " Oh man I have been that stoned." It is kind of hard to see when people are wrong they need to be punished, not given sympothy because they are cracked out.

WELL, WELL, WELL! Why don't the jury let one of their little ones have a pill and will they then think the charge of murder would be enough. Insteat of giving them time in prison, they should be given an over dose of the drug until they die.

It's a sad, sad day when there are so many child murders that you cannot remember them all...
