Police swarmed a Hopkinsville home Saturday morning and arrested a man they believe killed three Roaring Springs children and critically injured their mother.
35-year-old Kevin Dunlap is facing three counts of capital murder, one count of attempted murder, four counts of capital kidnapping, three counts of tampering with physical evidence and one count each of burglary and rape. Dunlap is an employee of DirecTv. As for his relationship with the victims, police are not commenting.
The three children were found dead at their home Wednesday when crews responded to a fire at the residence. Their mother was also found injured on the property. The children were identified as 17-year-old Kayla Williams, 14-year-old Kortney Frensley and 5-year-old Ethan Frensley. Their mother is 36-year-old Kristi Frensley. The Trigg County Coroner determined the oldest sibling died of a neck laceration. The two younger children were stabbed to death.
Police say that interviews with their mother, who is recovering at an area hospital, helped lead them to Dunlap. Additionally, they say they have discovered evidence that connects Dunlap to the murder scene.
Dunlap was booked into Christian County Detention Center Saturday evening.
