A burglary turns into a deadly shooting after police say the homeowner opened fire.
Police say three men broke into 23-year old Eric Reynolds' home in Shelbyville late last night, but Reynolds pulled a gun and shot 28-year-old David Fletcher.
Fletcher along with 22-year olds Timothy Carpenter and Joshua Fast took off in a truck. Fletcher died before they could get to a hospital.
Carpenter and Fast face burglary charges. No word on if the homeowner will be charged for the shooting, but under existing laws homeowners have the right to use deadly force if their property is threatened. State Police say their investigation is ongoing.
