Members of Alpha Company, first of the 31st Armor division will depart from Andalusia July 27 and will be transferred to camp Shelby in Mississippi, where they will get ready to take up arms in Kuwait.
Earlier this month, several people from the community came out to show their support for the troops. Many of the soldiers say they are honored to fulfill their duties serving in the war on terror.
The soldiers come from many walks of life and most have other careers they will leave behind to fight for their country.
Another celebration will be held next month for the soldiers.
