Police are still trying to figure out exactly what happened previous to yesterday's lockdown at Western Kentucky University.
Authorities have questioned several witnesses, but instead of getting clear answers, police have come up with nothing but conflicting information.
Some people say a gun was fired near the Pearce-Ford Tower Residence Hall, others say no shots were fired. Police also aren't sure if the people involved in the fight that led to the lock down were students.
The president of Western Kentucky University made a statement Thursday applauding the efforts of police and school staff during the crisis situation. But, Unv. Pres. Gary Ransdell also admonished students to be more careful in the future about giving police accurate information.
Class is back in session at WKU.
