Thursday night, people in Lexington voiced opinions over the possibility of a stricter smoking ban at the Urban Council meeting. More than a dozen spoke out.

There's a proposal to expand the ban to cover bingo halls, Blue Grass Airport, public transportation, and all workplaces.

The amendment still needs two officials readings by council.

Final approval could come as early as next month.

Council says it is still taken written comment from the public.

I personally don’t like smoke blown in my face when out in public. I think it’s disrespectful. People would not like it if I sit around and passed gas while they were eating. They would say it’s rude and makes it impossible for them to eat, but I could argue it’s my “right as an American”. Get over it people. SMOKE IS DANGEROUS and nasty for smokers and non-smokers.

I can't believe It's getting this bad around here .First no smoking in public places Ok I agree with that..But Now most hospitals You can't smoke on their property any where ..Down in Pikeville you can see the nurses heading for the hill above the hospital to smoke.I do understand not smokinng around pregnant women and kids .We don't smoke around our grand child. I think that's why our ancestors first come to America So they could be free to worship and live as free people..It's getting harder every

WHY DONT THESE PEOPLE LEAVE SMOKING ALONG IF THEY DONT LIKE IT LET THERE A--ING STAND OUTSIDE I WOULD RATHER GET IN A CAR WITH SOME ONE SMOKING THAN DRINKING AND DRUNK THAT ALL THESE NONE SMOKER THINK ABOUT WHY DONT YOU STARTS ON DRUNKS OR YOU ONE EVERY TIME SOME ONE WRECK I SAY THEY WAS NOT SMOKING GET ALIFE AND LEAVE THE SMOKER ALONG DONT WE HAVE RIGHT TO YOU SURE LIKE THE MONEY THAT COME FROM SMOKER
