Three of the five suspects charged in connection with a double murder appeared in court Friday morning.
Neccolus Mundy pleaded not guilty for the murders of Bo Upton and Ryan Shangraw in Lincoln County in 2002.
Mundy was arrested Thursday morning in Richmond. Mundy's mother told 27 NEWSFIRST that her son is innocent.
Also Friday, Matthew Tolson was expected to receive 20 years in jail as part of a plea deal in exchange for his testimony. However, prosecuter asked for a delay in that sentencing because of Mundy's recent arrest.
Charles Smith also had a not guilty plea entered on his behalf. All three men will be back in court on November 25th. Their trial is expected to begin sometime in April.
