Despite rough financial times, businesses are still looking for employees. The problem now is too many applicants.
There aren't enough jobs to meet the supply, that's what 27 NEWSFIRST is hearing from job placement services like Judy's Staffing Services in Lexington.
For example the staffing company listed four medical positions in the newspaper and had 250 resumes sent to them along with an additional 200 phone calls about the four jobs.
Positions in the medical field and law offices seem to be the ones available these days, according to Judy's Staffing Services.
They also say these places are looking to hire full time positions rather than just temporary ones. Good news for people lucky enough to actually have their application considered.
