Family Tragedy For Actress Jennifer Hudson

CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago police have issued an Amber Alert for a
7-year-old after discovering two bodies at a South side home.
A publicist for Jennifer Hudson, the singer and Oscar-winning
actress, says the victims are Hudson's mother, Darnell Donerson,
and Hudson's brother, Jason Hudson.
A police spokeswoman says the deaths appear to be the result of
domestic abuse.
Police are searching for 7-year-old Julian King, Hudson's
nephew. He may have been abducted and could be accompanied by the
suspect, a man named William Balfour. Balfour has not been charged
with a crime. He is on parole and spent nearly seven years in
prison for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possessing a
stolen vehicle.
The tragedy comes as Hudson, who grew up in Chicago, continues
to reach new heights in her career. Hudson won an Academy Award for
best supporting actress in 2007 for her role in "Dreamgirls."
