A dynamic system will cross the state over the next few days and deliver another big rain event. This could cause flash flooding across parts of the state.
Two men are dead after the car they were travelling in collided head-on with an oncoming pick-up truck along US 60 in Clark County.
Authorities say a mid-sized car was travelling eastbound when the driver lost control and swerved into the westbound lane. That's where it was broadsided by a pick-up truck. Both men in the car were killed in the crash. The driver of the pick-up truck was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
Authorities say it appears excessive speed and wet roadways contributed to the crash. However, toxicology tests will be performed on the deceased.
The victims have been identified as 27-year-old Jason Cole, the driver, and his passenger, 47-year old Robert Maxwell.
Officials say the accident happened on a dangerous stretch of road on US 60. Winchester EMS report 21 injury accidents occurred there and 28 people were transported to the hospital so far this year.
