It was an emotional homecoming at the Kentucky National Guard Armory in Lexington Sunday evening as sixty seven Marine reservists returned from deployment in Iraq.
The troops represent the Military Police Company Alpha, Headquarters and Service Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group based in Lexington. They were deployed activated for one year starting on December 3, 2007.
During their deployment, they assisted in securing the border entry points from Syria and Jordan into Iraq.
Most of the Marines say that after a break, they will return to their civilian duties which range from going to college to heading back to work.
