The two men accused of hanging an effigy of presidential candidate Barack Obama on the UK campus made their first court appearance on Friday afternoon.
Hunter Bush and Joe Fischer turned themselves in to police on Thursday. Fischer is a UK student.
Police say they hung the effigy from a tree along a path that connects the William T. Young Library to Rose Street. It was immediately cut down after it was discovered on Wednesday morning.
Police say the suspects stole items from a UK fraternity house to make the effigy.
Bush and Fischer are charged with disorderly Conduct 2nd, Burglary 2nd, and theft by unlawful taking.
They made a brief court appearance on Friday, but the case was continued until November 10th. They'll enter a plea at that time.
