The Henry Clay Estate hopes to attract volunteers for the annual Ashland Leaf Raking Day this Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Every year, members of the community help rake nearly 17 acres around the main mansion on the historic site to help keep the grounds clean.
Ann Hagan-Michel, Executive Director at Ashland, says, " Our volunteer help is vital....It's a great community event."
Volunteers are encouraged to wear work gloves and bring rakes and leaf bags. Sign-in and refreshments will be in the Keeper's Cottage. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
