LOUISVILLE, KY -- Police received reports of shootings at multiple locations in western Louisville reports The Louisville Courier Journal on-line early Sunday morning.

At about 3:55 a.m., MetroSafe Dispatch received a call about a male being shot near Amy Avenue and Herman Street. No information was available about the severity of the victim's wound, a MetroSafe supervisor told the C-J.

At about 4:15 a.m., MetroSafe Dispatch received reports of shots fired in the 2300 block of West Kentucky Street. No victims were found at that location, but officers later learned that two people had arrived at University Hospital with gunshot wounds, a MetroSafe supervisor said. No information was available about the victims' conditions, the C-J reports.

There also was a report of shots fired in the 1800 block of Wilson Avenue near Dixie Highway at about the same time as the West Kentucky report, but no further information was available, reports The Louisville Courier-Journal on-line, early Sunday.

Having lived there at one time, I can add with 100% surety that the only thing remarkable about this story is that the shootings occurred minutes apart instead of the more normal couple of hours. This wasn't really news.
