It's been the scene of many crashes over the years, some of which turned deadly. Monday, crews are took steps to make a dangerous curve along a busy Lexington road safer.
Officials with the state's transportation department inspected the curve on Russell Cave Road, near Huffman Mill, after receiving a letter from a concerned citizen.
Now drivers will notice some changes along the roadway, including a 45 mph curve sign and 10 reflective posts.
The Transportation Cabinet has also removed trees in the area. It will also add a center line stripe at the current curve and close the northbound passing zone in spring of next year.
