Some folks in a historic Kentucky town got a VIP visit on Tuesday morning.
First Lady Laura Bush stopped in Hodgenville. That's in LaRue County.
She spoke at the Abraham Lincoln birthplace historic site.
Mrs. Bush told onlookers that it's important to conserve monuments like Lincoln's birthplace and the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. because they help bring history to life for future generations.
This is the second time this month Mrs. Bush has visited Kentucky. She came here on election day to support Republican Senator Mitch McConnell.
