Police say it was unsanitary, a man giving tattoos on the kitchen table.

What's worse, Lawrenceburg Police say local high school students were big customers, paying ten dollars for an illegal tattoo.

Janet Kim found out Police were tipped off after students started getting sick.

Police seized thousands of dollars worth of equipment from the Anderson County home.

The artist was cited, and says that he plans to obtain a business license in order to tattoo in the state.

Authorities are asking that those that think they were tattooed at this parlor to see a doctor.

if these people went in and asked this man to put tattoos on them, its their fault. they knew he didn't have a liscence and yet they got it anyway.. people put tatoos on themselves everyday..

I don't see how the kids did it,cause I would have been thinking about are the needles used....but I guess kids don't think about the effects

This could be dangerous. The kids could get Hepatitis, Aids, to name a few diseases...was he sterilizing his needles?

Wheres the crime,if you ask someone to do something to you. then who do you arrest. Stupid is not a crime except in Ky.Thats the reason we have so many folks in jail.

As a person who has body modifications, this outrages me. I cannot believe that someone would be stupid enough to tattoo out of his or her own home, without a license, and probably without proper sterilizing equipment, let alone tattoo high school students. A good tattoo artist would NEVER do something like this. There is a well-known saying in the world of tattoos: "A good tattoo isn't cheap and a cheap tattoo isn't good." With the high chance of contracting MRSA as of late I find it incredibly irresponsible for people to operate tattooing equipment, or practice any sort of body modification technique, outside of a sterile, professional environment. I fully believe that the younger generation should be educated on the dangers of getting tattooed or pierced outside of a professional setting with licensed artists. If one does not know how to properly care for piercings or tattoos or how to properly give them to others, he or she should abstain from acquiring or giving body mods.
