Escapee's Case Heard By Grand Jury

A grand jury is hearing evidence Thursday in the case of a man accused of kidnapping and killing his ex-girlfriend.

Jurors will decide whether to indict Robin Maple on murder charges in the killing of Melissa Patrick.

She was shot to death nearly a month after Maple escaped from the Montgomery County Jail. Maple was also shot, but he's now back in jail.

The earliest an indictment may come back in Monday.

State police were scheduled to testify at Thursday's hearing.
