Rain and a mix continues to work into eastern Kentucky as temps drop into the 30S. The next round of mix and snow slides in late this evening into tonight from the northwest.
The wintry weather spelled trouble for drivers early Friday morning, slipping and sliding on the roadways.
One pileup happened on I-75 at the 107 milemarker in Lexington.
Four vehicles, including an ambulance, ran off the road.
A pickup hauling a trailer, another pickup, an SUV and the ambulance were involved.
Police say the drivers hit an ice patch and slid.
A salt truck was called to the scene.
The ambulance was from Chattanooga, Tennessee and on its way back from Ohio, where it dropped off a patient.
No injuries were reported.
