Wintry Weather Leads To Accidents

The wintry weather spelled trouble for drivers early Friday morning, slipping and sliding on the roadways.

One pileup happened on I-75 at the 107 milemarker in Lexington.

Four vehicles, including an ambulance, ran off the road.

A pickup hauling a trailer, another pickup, an SUV and the ambulance were involved.

Police say the drivers hit an ice patch and slid.

A salt truck was called to the scene.

The ambulance was from Chattanooga, Tennessee and on its way back from Ohio, where it dropped off a patient.

No injuries were reported.
