Vigil For Inmate Found Dead

Ana Romero was found hanging in her cell in the Franklin County Detention Center August 21st. There are still many questions surrounding the illegal immigrant's death.

Friday a vigil was held outside the jail by people who don't want those questions to go answered.

Officials are investigating why Romero was held for 11 days. She was awaiting deportation to El Salvador. But, the law only allows illegal immigrants to be held for 48 hours unless they are facing other criminal charges. Those we spoke to at the vigil said someone needs to be held accountable.

Romero's funeral is planned for Dec. 3rd. A 500 page report on Romero's death investigation has recently been released by State Police. But, officials have declined to comment until they review the findings.
