Lexington Grocery Burglarized; Store Owner Arrested

A Lexington store owner is in trouble with the law. Police say he was dealing dope out of his grocery store.

Early Monday morning, police were called to LNC Dollar and Grocery Store on Lima Drive after a burglar alarm went off.

Once there, police noticed a broken window.

They called K-9 units to search the business.

That's when police say the dogs sniffed out marijuana in a filing cabinet.

Police arrested the store's owner, Joseph Ivy.

He's charged with trafficking marijuana within one-thousand feet of a school.

Police also picked him up on a warrant for failing to appear in court.
