Deadly Start To Thanksgiving Travel

The Thanksgiving Holiday travel season is already off to a deadly start in Central Kentucky.

Police say Shannon McKinney, 22, ran off U.S. 68 near Highway 169 in Jessamine County early Wednesday morning and hit a fence.

McKinney later died at U.K. Hospital.

Police say alcohol is suspected in the crash.

Kentucky State Police say patrols will be in full force this weekend.

They expect more drivers to hit the roads this year because of lower gas prices.
