Our focus now turns to the potential of record lows this morning. Many areas will finish with thermometers below zero.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A deputy coroner says human bones found at
the Kentucky Horse Park were from a grave in an unmarked family cemetery.
Deputy Fayette County Coroner Shea Titlow says a skull and a leg bone of an elderly male was unearthed Tuesday morning by a construction crew.
Horse Park spokeswoman Lisa Johnson says construction crews are
building a new stadium where the bones were found.
She says work has been halted in the immediate area while investigators try to determine how many graves were disturbed. She
says that preliminary findings indicate equipment dug into at least two graves.
She said the construction delay is not expected to be lengthy.
Laurie Stallgren of the Kentucky Heritage Council says the bones are being studied by anthropologist David Pollack.
