Boil Water Advisory Lifted

Nearly two weeks after it was issued, a boil water advisory has been lifted in Magoffin County.

The Kentucky Division of Water now says samples taken from water systems in Salyersville and Magoffin County have come back clean.

Low water levels in the Licking River, combined with lots of leaves in the water, led to the decision to issue the advisory back on November 13th.

Recent rains have helped return water levels closer to normal.
