Investigators spent much of Tuesday morning at the scene of a deadly house fire in northern Kentucky.

The fire broke out at a home on Moore Road in Williamstown at around 2:30 am.

By the time fire crews arrived at the home, it was already destroyed by flames.

The coroner tells 27 NEWSFIRST one person died in the fire, but hasn't said if it's a man, woman or a child.

State police say it may take a few days to make a positive identification of the victim. Neighbors and family members tell us the man who lived in the home was Kenneth Searp.

Kentucky State Police are investigating, along with fire officials.
