The Clark County Sheriff's Department makes a big drug bust in the city of Winchester.

After receiving several tips from informants and investigating a home on Holiday Road, they arrested 34-year-old Jamie Preston on Tuesday.

"This is probably the second largest indoor grow bust we've ever had", says Clark County Sheriff Berl Perdue.

The sheriff's department found 102 marijuana plants, a small amount of hash, and hallucinogenic mushrooms inside Preston's home.

They say a lot of the marijuana in the county was coming from this source. Neighbors of Jamie Preston say they are shocked and live in a normally quiet neighborhood.

27 NEWSFIRST briefly spoke with Preston in the Clark County jail, who didn't admit to or deny the seven charges he now faces. He would only say, of the 102 marijuana plants police found, four of the plants didn't have roots.

Police are hoping this arrest will end some of the drug activity in Clark County.

"It will never stop it because there are other sources, but it will definitely slow it down for awhile", says Clark County Sheriff Berl Perdue.
