Three people are out of their homes after a fire late Sunday night in Lexington.
The fire broke out on East 7th Street in a house converted into two apartments.
Firefighters say the downstairs apartment has extensive damage.
They think the fire likely started inside the walls.
Firefighters say they had a difficult time making it to the scene since some construction equipment was on the streets.
No one was injured.
The Red Cross helped the residents displaced by the fire.
The cause remains under investigation.
