Rice Says US, South Korea Agree On Nuclear Talks

WASHINGTON (AP) - Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says the
United States and four other countries agree on how to pressure
North Korea to make commitments on inspections of its nuclear
program.
On Monday, South Korea said it hasn't decided whether to deliver
a promised shipment of fuel to North Korea after Pyongyang failed
to cooperate at nuclear disarmament talks last week.
That stance contradicts Washington's statement saying that North
Korea's five negotiating partners - China, Japan, South Korea,
Russia and the United States - agreed to halt energy aid unless the
regime agreed to steps for verifying its past nuclear activities.
But Rice told The Associated Press in an interview Monday that
the United States and South Korea were "absolutely" on the same
page.
