A former Lexington junior high school teacher now faces sodomy and rape charges stemming from the 1970's.
The Lexington Herald leader reports a grand jury indicted Jack Russell Hubbard.
The charges stem from allegations made by former Beaumont Junior High School students Thomas Goodman and Carol Lynne Maner.
Maner won a nearly four million dollar verdict against the Fayette County School Board last year. She said the board ignored a pattern of sexual abuse by teachers.
An appeal by the school board is pending.
Hubbard and another former teacher, Roberta Walter, were arrested during the civil trial.
