Rounds of showers and storms continue to develop. Some of these could be strong and put down very heavy rainfall. Watch for local high water issues.
Tuesday morning's winter weather was not unexpected and the accurate forecast gave Lexington leaders time to plan.
On Tuesday, Mayor Jim Newberry says everything went as well as planned.
Road crews had between 20 and 30 trucks out all night, salting and plowing the roads in Fayette County.
As of 10:00 Tuesday morning, Lexington Police say they had worked 17 crashes around the city, all of them minor. That number may have been higher if road crews hadn't been working so tirelessly.
Mayor Newberry called it a "pretty good night," all things considered.
