It appears a plea deal is in the works for a store manager accused of not helping this summer when a child was found locked inside a hot van.
Witnesses say Elizabeth Miller, who was the manager of the Bed, Bath and Beyond on Nicholasville Road, wouldn't let a couple use the store's phone to call police.
Miller is charged with failing to report an incident which is a misdemeanor.
In court Wednesday morning, attorneys discussed the possibility of minimal jail time in exchange for a guilty plea.
The mother accused of leaving her child inside the locked van is facing reduced charges.
A Fayette County grand jury indicted Tanuja Patel on a misdemeanor charge of second degree wanton endangerment, instead of the original felony charge she faced.
