Family of Crash Victims Pleading for Help

A Winchester family who lost two loved ones in a fatal accident Tuesday night are now turning to the community for help.

Family members say they just can't believe it's real. In the same night, they lost two of their loved ones in a horrible car crash.

3-year-old Jakob Cupps and 28-year-old Crystal Moler were killed on Tuesday night when Moler lost control of her car on an icy overpass in Montgomery County. It slid into the path of an oncoming truck.

The family says not only are they dealing with a double-loss, but it's going to be a hard hit financially, so they are turning to the community for help.

"We didn't have life insurance on them or anything. Someone that young you don't think to do anything like that. We don't have money set back or anything. We just try to get through each month paying bills as it is", says Kimberly Campbell, Jakob Cupp's mother.

Kimberly Campbell says the family has received donations for Jakob's funeral, but for Crystal's they owe over $6,000 and now have to make a down-payment on Friday.

"We have to have $1,500 paid to cemetery", Campbell says.

With the holidays around the corner and a third child on the way for Kimberly, she says financially, having these two funerals will be especially tough on this family who are still coping with this double-loss.

If you would like to help donate to this family, funds have now been set up at area locations of National City Bank for Crystal Moler and Jakob Cupps.

Funeral arrangements are now set for the two.

Visitation for both will be held Friday night from 6-8 p.m. at Scobee Funeral Home in Winchester.

Graveside services are Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the Winchester Cemetery.
