The family of a man found dead outside a Powell County pawnshop says he died of a heart attack, brought on by burglars.

Donnie Morris was found outside the M & S Variety Pawn Shop on 7th Avenue in Clay City.

Early Wednesday morning, a call came into 911 about two people, attempting to break into the store.

Police went to search for burglars and came back to find Morris dead outside the shop.

No arrests have been made in the case and no charges have been filed. Police say they're still investigating.

Morris' family says donations for his funeral can be made at Clark Funeral Home in Carlisle.
