Former Teacher Indicted

A former Lexington junior high school teacher pleads not guilty to sodomy and rape stemming from the 1970's.

Jack Russell Hubbard was indicted following allegations made by former Beaumont Junior High School students Thomas Goodman and Carol Lynne Maner.

Maner won a nearly four million dollar verdict against the Fayette County School Board last year. She claimed the board ignored a pattern of sexual abuse by teachers.

An appeal by the school board is pending.

Hubbard and another former teacher, Roberta Walter, were arrested during the civil trial.
