Lexington police are looking for a semi-tractor trailer they believe struck and killed a man on Leestown Road Friday evening.

The accident happened at about 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Masterson Station Drive and White Oak Avenue along Leestown Road. Police describe the victim as a white male in his thirties to forties. They did not release his identity.

Police are not describing the incident as a hit and run as they believe the driver of the truck might not have known a pedestrian was hit.

Police are asking anyone with information on the case or the whereabouts of the truck to contact them.
