Severe thunderstorms have developed across parts of Central Kentucky. Expect more of these to develop through the evening hours.
Community and family members were in attendance at a vigil in Bath County to remember two young girls, killed in a house fire earlier this month.
The City of Refuge church in Olympia was packed with community members and relatives of the Withrow family on Monday evening to remember Lucy and Kayla Withrow.
Through songs, words, prayer, and a candlelight vigil, the two girls were remembered and honored.
Among those in attendance was their 11-year-old brother A.J. who survived the fire earlier this month. He and other family members were there to show their support for two people they say meant the world to them.
They say this has not only been hard for their family but also to the small community of Olympia.
The vigil also honored other family members who survived the fire. Today, Marietta Withrow was released from the hospital, and daughter Danielle is still listed in serious condition.
Funeral arrangements have now been set for Kayla and Lucy Withrow. Visitation will be held on Friday at the City of Refuge Church in Olympia from 6-9 p.m. and the funeral for the two girls will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the church.
Meanwhile, if you would like to donate to this family, who lost everything in this fire, you can go to any Central Bank location and make a donation to the Virgil Withrow Fund.
