The cars rolled in as people filled the City of Refuge Church in Olympia to honor 13-year Kayla Withrow and her sister 12-year old Lucy. After a vigil earlier this week and a visitation Friday for the girls, Kayla and Lucy were laid to rest Saturday, giving the community a chance to say goodbye.
The girls died in a house fire earlier this month in their Bath County family home.
Libby Smith, the girls' Sunday school teacher says she still feels their absence weeks after their death.
As the caskets were carried out by the girls' brothers and family, a church full of people streamed out in support of the Withrows, many with special stories to tell.
Parents Virgil and Marietta Withrow and younger brother A.J. have all been released from the hospita, but 15-year old Danielle Withrow is still listed in serious condition at UK Hospital.
