With just days to go before UK meets East Carolina in the Liberty Bowl, officials say plenty of tickes are still available.
They expect Friday's attendance will hover in the mid-50,000 range, far less than in 2007 when the bowl in Memphis saw a record crowd of nearly 64,000.
The team is already in Memphis, Tennessee. On Monday night, they attended a welcome ceremony held for both teams.
When they hit the field Friday, how many big blue fans will be in memphis to cheer them on?
The trip is about a six and a half hour drive from Lexington.
Travel agencies say sales are way down.
In one case, from about 500 fans last year to about 100 this year.
Some fans say the economy is keeping them home this year, others say it's the team's six and six record, so they will be watching from their living rooms to save some money.
Tuesday is the last day general admission tickets will be available to the public at the UK Ticket Office in the Joe Craft Center from noon to 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $50 each.
