The change to complete snow continues to work southward across Kentucky. Snow rates will come in around 1" to 2" per hour. Those rates could be even higher under some of the more intense bands.
A Jessamine County man is starting his new year homeless after a powerful fire swept through his home.
The fire broke out on Lukie Drive off Tates Creek Road near the Jessamine-Fayette county line. The homeowner and neighbors knew the house would be lost, but worked hard to save the family pets trapped inside.
In the end, it was too late. A dog and a cat died in a fire.
Authorities believe the cause of the fire was an electrical malfunction.
