2008 is over but Lexington Police are still working on four homicide cases from last year.
There were a total of 16 homicides and police have arrested a suspect in all but four of those.
On January 2, 2008, Gustavo Aburto Calderon, of Mexico, was found shot to death in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Cambridge Drive.
Police questioned several people, but no arrests were made.
On April 10, 2008, Regina Johnson, 44, of Lexington was found strangled in her Rogers Road apartment.
It would take six-months before police ruled her death a homicide. No arrests have been made in connection with the case.
On July 18, 2008, Derrick Stewart, 35, was found shot to death in his driveway on Lindy Lane. Neighbors recall hearing multiple shots fired, but were able to offer police very few tips. No arrests were made.
The last unsolved homicide of 2008 took place on September 28 when Quinn Dent, 26, of Lexington was found lying in the street outside of a nightclub with multiple gunshot wounds.
Witnesses said they saw a masked black man wearing dark clothing shoot Dent and then flee on foot.
