Rounds of showers and thunderstorms could cause issues across the region Saturday. Damaging winds, large hail and a few tornadoes will be possible.
A man has been rescued from the Red River Gorge after a rapelling accident.
Menifee County search and rescue personnel say they were dispatched to the Frog's Head Rock area near Indian Staircase at about 3:30 Saturday afternoon. They discovered that a man had fallen about 180 feet while rapelling.
It took rescuers nearly eight hours to pull the man to safety. They were hampered by rain throughout the afternoon.
The injured man was transported to UK with what rescuers say appear to be broken bones. His identity has not been released.
