An excessive amount of rain created plenty of problems in eastern Kentucky on Wednesday morning.
Knox County had to deal with the brunt of the high water. Roads there were covered with flood water, making travel treacherous.
Police are urging people not to drive into standing water because vehicles can be swept away and out drivers in danger of drowning.
Flood warnings were in effect Wednesday for many areas throughout the state and forecasters say the waters will continue rising until later in the evening.
Folks in central Kentucky say bursts of snow flurries rather than heavy rain.
