McDonald's Franchise Owner Passes Away

A man known in Central Kentucky for his community success has died.

Jerry Healy, 72, died at U.K. Hospital after a short illness.

He was 38 when he owned his first McDonald's and grew that into 14 McDonalds restaurants across Central Kentucky.

Mr. Healy also loved UK basketball. He once said, "I sure hope there's a basketball court in Heaven if I get up there."

Mr. Healy leaves behind a wife of 46-years, Sarah, and their four children.
