The cold front has now crossed the Ohio River into Kentucky. This will work into central Ky over the next few hours. Temps will drop quickly behind this front with wind gusts hitting 35mph at times. Showers will mix with and change to snow later this evening.
A violent crash in Laurel County claims the life of a teenager.
It happened around 2:20 Friday afternoon at Kentucky 192 at the Hal Rogers Parkway.
18-year-old Aaron Snider is said to have pulled in the path of a tractor trailer going east bound on the parkway, when his car was hit on the drivers side.
A third car was also hit the tractor trailer after the initial crash.
Snider died at the scene.
The driver and passenger in the third car, 18-year-old Natasha Hensen of Manchester and 22-year-old Timothy Johnson, were sent to Saint Joseph Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The road was shut down for a while but has since reopened.
