Authorities are looking for three men who reportedly broke into a Jackson County home, tied up the homeowner and robbed him. The incident reportedly lasted for about three hours at the home of 74-year-old Roy Durham on Lower Dry Fork Road near the community of Sand Gap.
The robbery took place at about 1:00 a.m. Saturday. Authorities have not identified the suspects and they are still at large.
A friend of Durham's says that Durham is well-liked in the community and can't imagine why anyone would want to target him. Durham lives alone and often comes into town to trade items including knives.
Woodrow Brooks said that Durham turned to him following the incident and said that he was simply "horrified" by what happened. Durham also told Brooks that the men threatened his life.
