A Lexington woman is dead and another in the hospital after a violent crash Monday morning on busy Interstate-64.
State police say 24-year old Natasha Lewis died when she was thrown from a car that lost control, just before 9:00 a.m. in Shelby County.
The driver 19-year old Ieshia Ford who's also from Lexington reportedly over corrected, hit another car before overturning several times and hitting some trees.
Police say the women were on their way home to Lexington, from Louisville, when the crash happened.
Ford was taken to the hospital in Shelby County for treatment of her injuries.
