A Flood Watch and a Winter Storm Watch are out for the entire region late Tuesday through early Thursday. Heavy rain develops Tuesday night into Wednesday morning and may put down 1”-3” in some areas. Arctic air pushes in from west to east on Wednesday with heavy sleet and snow taking over. That setup could produce several inches of accumulation. Snow will slowly end from west to east Thursday as bitterly cold air continues to push in.
A Pulaski County grandmother says she was trying to defend her daughter's honor, but now the woman is in trouble with the law over an alleged shooting.
Over the weekend in Pulaski County, police say the woman barged into a home on Boat Dock Road and began firing.
The home owner Shonda Smith says when she opened her front door, she wasn't expecting shots to be fired.
Police have now charged 71-year old Goldie Dyer with several felonies.
Police say there were 7 people inside the home when she fired one round from her handgun.
Dyer is being charged with seven counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
Dyer has been released from the Pulaski County Detention Center. She is expected back in court later this month.
