Rounds of showers and storms continue to push across the region. This action is packing a lot of lightning and heavy rainfall. Flash flooding is possible through Wednesday.
The University of Kentucky Police Department issued a Safety Advisory following an incident reported on campus Thursday night.
About 8:30 Thursday night a female student reported an incident to UK Police. The victim states that the unknown suspect followed her from the Lafferty Hall area through Central Campus and across Rose Street. She states that between the Mining and Mineral Resources Building and the W.T. Young Library, the suspect grabbed her. She resisted and was able to run away toward the library.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, wearing blue jeans or dark pants and a waist length dark coat with a hood. He was also wearing a black baseball cap.
Anyone with information is asked to contact UK Police at 257-1616 or #UKPD (#8573) from any cell phone.
