The extreme cold temperatures are keeping AAA workers on their toes. With the influx of calls, AAA is setting priorities to ensure people are safe.
When a call comes into AAA, one of the first questions asked is whether the driver has a warm place to wait. AAA representatives say stranded drivers will often get priority over those who may be at home or somewhere nearby to go.
AAA representatives are encouraging drivers to have a cell phone when going anywhere in case they do need a hand.
Dead batteries and flat tires are some of the more common calls AAA representatives are getting.
AAA says there are currently 4 trucks out on the road answering calls, and the wait shouldn't exceed an hour.
